We are pleased to announce that Distance Education students will be able to register themselves through theROCK, NWC’s online portal, for the Spring 2009 semester. By registering themselves for courses within NWC’s student information system, students will have increased control over the timeliness and accuracy of their registrations. Plus, they will be immediately aware of any prerequisites or registration holds.

Distance Education students registered for the Fall 2008 semester received online-registration eligibility forms in their NWC e-mail accounts near the end of October. Students registered for Distance Education courses prior to Fall 2008 should contact the GCE office to request online-registration eligibility forms.

Students are encouraged to return the forms in November so that they will be eligible to register for courses online on December 1, which is the day registration opens. Easy registration instructions will be sent to the NWC e-mail accounts of all eligible students beginning November 24.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective Spring 2009, all Distance Education (DE) courses must be completed in one semester with the exception of Global Studies Modules, which are allowed two semesters for completion.

Fall 2008 Independent Study registrations are the last courses that qualify for a semester extension.
